Garden House Hospice Care provides free, specialist palliative care for patients, families and carers facing long-term and life-limiting illnesses from across North Hertfordshire, Stevenage and towns and villages in Central Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. Working with our medical team of highly experienced doctors, nurses and other specialists, they will have access to services such as our Inpatient Unit, community nursing, physiotherapy, bereavement support, occupational therapy, complementary therapy, frailty service and spiritual care.

The end of your life is as important as the beginning and the middle. Our expert care is tailored to the unique needs of our community members, focusing on their wellbeing, supporting them to live well with their diagnosis for longer and without discrimination. Our vision is to help provide the very highest standards of care to the growing numbers of people that will need our services over the next 20 years.

It costs us £6.5 million a year to run the Hospice, and although we receive some NHS funding, we need to raise £9,700 every single day to provide our services 365 days a year.

This covers everything from the freshly cooked meals we provide to our patients, the costs of medication, the bills we pay to clean our building, keep it warm and run our medical equipment and facilities such as our gym, the salaries we pay and training we give to our expert staff, and much more.

It is a lot of money, but together, with the support of people like you, we WILL be there for the people who need us today, tomorrow and in the future.
